Pros
Progressive from an IT standpoint. Progressive software programs and equipment (for Oklahoma). Benefits are great when you can get them to work. (They mostly work.) Allowed remote work for some staff for pandemic. Very social if you enjoy “social” work culture. If you find a good mentor, there are incredible learning opportunities. Pay is decent for Oklahoma (but maybe not for the amount of stress). They have some extremely talented attorneys and staff.
Cons
Support departments are understaffed and required to wear “many hats” resulting in either frequent turnover or zero support. Instead of paying higher wages, they will do temp to hire. Raises are not great. “Corporate” environment is taking over. Allowed remote work for “some” staff for pandemic. Very high stress depending on dept. Not many “younger” employees. Prides itself on diversity, but not very diverse. Mostly older white men and older white women. Gaslighting regarding overtime, pay and billable hours. On boarding with the multitude of software programs is, as they will say to you a million times, “drinking from a firehose.” Benefits are great; however, no one outside of the main healthcare systems have heard of your health plan and it will result in either being sent to collections, denied care, or long wait times to get treatment because of the back and forth. Administrative heavy. “A form for everything,” which can sometimes be frustrating and inefficient.
