Pros

Great place to gain experience. Good atmosphere among staff, very supportive and friendly. Very rewarding job when working frontline, even though it can be extremely challenging, you can see you make a difference. Very good and strong group of staff that are members in the union dedicating a lot of time and effort in improving working conditions.

Cons

I worked for more than 8 years and saw the change in management. Very disappointed with the new corporate model as opposed to what it used to be, a more caring model for both clients and staff. Salaries are considerably lower for new staff, even relief staff who had been working for years would be placed at the lowest point with a new contract. Management does not value staff's experience or good work and does not support professional development.

Great dedicated housing support officers and assistants who go above and beyond for service users. Flexibility in work

Cons

Poor management. Toxic culture among some staff that have no accountability due to poor clinical governance/reporting structures.
