Pros
The employees of the most part are very enjoyable to be around
Cons
Where do I even begin? Back before this facility got bought out, it wasn’t bad. Sure there were problems just like any other workplace. But at least they treated you like a person instead of someone who fills a job.
First of all, if you have any legitimate suggestions on how to improve the work or environment, you may as well keep them to yourself. They don’t really care what you have to say.
Favoritism from management is unbelievable. The employees who get their job done and don’t make too much of a fuss are more often than not the ones managers have under a microscope. The ones who are constantly late, can never seem to work a full 40 hours or ones who produce mediocre work are the ones who seem to skate by without any sort of issue.
And while we are in the subject, let’s address the attendance policy. Did you know that it only takes 6 points for you to be terminated? And you can get pointed for basically anything. One minute late clocking in from lunch? Point. Child’s school called and you have to pick them up because they are sick? Point. You yourself have to leave early because you don’t feel well? Point. And while there is a policy in place, they will tell you that it is ultimately up to your managers discretion on if you receive points or not. And you may still receive points even though you have time to use because nobody knows the actual rules of this “policy”.
And yes, you seriously truly get in trouble over one minute.
