Pros

The people and the culture. Genuinely open, family friendly and relentlessly positive. I've never worked for a company so invested in what their people bring to the role. The company also encourages (and gets wide participation from its employees) in voluntary work in the community and I've been surprised how much I've enjoyed that aspect to working there. I'm genuinely a better person for having worked there.

Cons

For many, agile at Gap is at best a prescriptive set of tasks to be performed rather than something that is genuinely adaptive. Transient project teams with heavy contractor:FTE ratios mean that the emphasis is too often to design for the immediate task and the minimum viable employee.

Pros

Generous PTO, monthly bonus for management, 401k and stock options, socially conscious brand, focus on diversity and inclusion

Cons

Very low pay, Micromanagement by upper management, lack of available hours to adequately staff the sales floor, too many tasks and too little time allotted, no opportunity for advancement
