Pros

Benefits were nice; vacation allowance was great; and their giveback to various communities

Cons

Where to begin- First, this site is obviously not being managed actively as Tom hasn't been the CEO for well over 12 months. If you are looking to work in the SHL business line, which is not part of Gartner any longer, know that you are working for a PE that doesn't understand the business, but does show genuine interest in learning. But in that learning, know that roles are being eliminated (as you would suspect). The culture is toxic in the U.S. and the values of the organization do not align with practices. HR is ill equipped to be strategic and do not add value in trying to understand what it will take to make SHL an employer of choice. Leadership may have been successful in emerging markets, but doesn't understand that the U.S. is not the Nordics, is not South Africa. Their product suite consists of repackaging and repurpasing one assessment. There are only so many ways you can slice and dice the OPQ before clients (and they already are) start calling you out and leaving. There has been no innovation with the exception of their LeaderEdge solution (OPQ based). Pay is well below market, and when you confront leadership the viewpoint is then leave and come back.

Pros

Relative to other talent competitors, Gartner does a great job in providing opportunities for growth and advancement, with associates who possess the right mindset and drive the right business outcomes advancing more quickly.

Cons

While Gartner is continuing to grow, the pace of growth has temporarily slowed in recent years due to macro-economic factors and the misperception that AI is positioned to replace the business & technology insights that Gartner provides to its clients. It's been great to see the actions being taken this year to combat this perception and further invest in AI solutions internally to empower the organization.

Pros

Being a globally recognized company makes it easy to consistently engage clients. Great benefits. Amazing people (managers and colleagues) For the most part there is a clear path to success and promotions. Executives listen to feedback after every internal call to help guide strategy.

Cons

In office mandate increasing in office days from once a month to once a week. Need to live in Florida or Texas because of the in office mandate. Promotions take a while since there are many people going for the same roles. Hard to reach clients and constant territory’s shifting makes it difficult to achieve the numbers you and management expect.
