Pros

I’ve been with Gatekeeper for a long stretch and have grown through multiple roles as the company has evolved. Each step has come with real ownership, clear expectations, and the kind of feedback that actually makes you better. Gatekeeper hasn’t just given me purpose in the work I do, it’s given me direction and the support to pursue it, both professionally and personally. What stands out most is the culture. Smart, kind people who care about doing things properly and who back good ideas. Leadership is accessible and transparent. When things move fast, there’s still thoughtfulness in the way priorities are set, and I’ve always felt trusted to make decisions and deliver. On a personal note, the support extends beyond the office. When life has needed attention, the team’s been flexible and human. I’ve learned a lot here, shipped work I’m proud of, and felt part of something meaningful. I love it here. Gatekeper is my home. Five stars.

Cons

GK moves fast and things change mid-flight. I wear a lot of hats, so bandwidth gets tight and planned work often gets bumped by urgent asks outside my remit. Some internal processes still create friction. There’s also a heavy expectation to become a product expert quickly, which can make capable people look like poor fits if they are a little slower to learn (like myself).

Pros

Remote company with meetups every few years

Cons

Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re genuinely desperate. There are some great people at Gatekeeper but it’s a mess. Leadership’s priorities constantly shift, there’s constant turnover of senior leaders that each restructure everything from top to bottom as soon as they join the org, and they never commit to a clear focus for more than a few weeks at a time. Burnou's a massive problem here. Sadly, there’s a strong lack of trust from the top. Senior leadership trusts only a small inner circle, and if you’re not in it, you’re basically going to be justifying your existence on a daily basis. Your calendar and activity WILL be monitored because managers don’t trust that people are doing their jobs, even though everyone’s snowed under. Employees are pushed to be “obsessed with AI” but the reality is that AI adoption at this company has drastically increased everyone’s workload, and people are exhausted. If you're considering a job here, just note that they're reducing staff numbers and simultaneously increasing their revenue goals. Again, there are very good people here, but the culture makes it hard to thrive. I wouldn’t recommend working here without significant change
