Pros
There are a lot of good people working for Gather. The team is mostly positive, and comradery is expected from everyone. Some of the teams are well established and have a solid structure and capable managers leading them. They offer many entry-level positions in sales and customer support, so it can be a good place to start a career in one of those fields.
Cons
Valuing comradery does not make the culture immune to conflict, it simply takes it underground, which can turn a team's atmosphere passive-aggressive and tense. In my experience, there were multiple times that conflict could've been resolved early on by a more experienced manager taking initiative and responsibility for their team, but instead, it was left to fester into a larger issue. Some of the management, while experienced in their line of work, lack leadership skills, using manipulative tactics to control a team instead of direct feedback.
