Gattaca Response
8yI'm pleased that you were able to allow some positives about working for Gattaca but I'm afraid I'm scratching my head as to why anyone would stay employed for more than eight years by a company this bad! For the record, I've only been here three and a half years and I've never worked anywhere with LESS politics. Our commission scheme is recognised as industry leading - we aim to hire sales people who back themselves by paying base salaries at median and total cash in the upper quartile - we're very transparent on this. We fervently believe in specialisation and in ensuring that clients and candidates are handled by those staff who are best equipped to deal with their unique requirements - what goes around DOES come around. Just ask our automotive team in China who are undoubtedly on the receiving end of leads at the moment....but what's the betting that Shanghai based automotive clients will want to tap into British engineering expertise and legacy as their industry matures? On whistle-blowing I'm extremely proud that we act firmly when necessary to ensure that our values are respected. I can think of few companies who would go to the lengths we have in the fairly recent past to deal with allegations of bullying. We have KPIs but we're not slaves to them, recruitment IS hard and the more you practice (work) the better you get - but if you can achieve your objectives in forty hours a week or less, good luck to you! We now have the largest, best managed, most highly skilled L&D team we have EVER had - and they are getting the accolades internally that they deserve. There IS a lot of change- welcome to business life today. Our staff turnover is low for our industry and is on a downward trend. Recently our senior management team agreed to be bonused on a staff turnover metric for the first time since we recognise that attracting and retaining the best people is a key competitive advantage. As to morale, when we independently measured staff engagement recently it was at 82% - astonishingly high for a recruitment business and in the upper decile of a support services benchmark which includes Professions like Law and Accountancy. I'm conscious that in demolishing your case point by point It looks like I am demonstrating that our management team don't listen and only want to hear good news. But I can't sit back and allow untruths to go unanswered. If you really are a current employee please call me and let's
discuss your grievances. You know, one of our Values is 'Love your Job' - I can't imagine doing something for so long and being as unhappy as you clearly are. I'd love to help you.
