Pros

You get to drink a lot of kool aid. Dog friendly office. Slides.

Cons

The company isn't looking good. CEO announed in the last all hands meeting "We're probably going to sell the company." Trying to pivot, but product and engineering can't ever align, they are too vertically structured and too large to effectively pivot. Decisions never get made - they fully overhaul the product roadmap every few months, and they are too slow with protyping and user testing. There are no users, and there's no user retention whatsoever. Confidence in leadership is dropping among IC levels, who are the most qualified people at the company -- managers and leadership are extremely inexperienced. Leadership is the CEO's high school buddies, and managers are fresh out of school, and this was their first job that they happened to join as soon as it got funding. CEO is fake and doesn't care about building a real product or company - he just preaches the company mission, but its apparent he doesn't actually plan to achieve anything with it.

Hello. We always welcome employees to share their perspective with us. We first want to clarify that your statement was taken out of context and does not accurately capture the sentiment shared about the company’s future. We are building an exciting and aggressive product roadmap, with that also comes various opportunities for the future of the company with varying levels of risk. We are also always looking for new ways to help further develop our employees, including our managers and building out new learning + development opportunities for everyone. We have ambitious goals and plans for the company in the coming year and look forward to accomplishing them with our team. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

Pros

The best part about working here is the people: All the way from the company leadership to the engineering leadership, to the individual engineers I interacted with, everyone is transparent, passionate and genuinely kind. The company has the financial runway needed to test ideas without red tape, making it a playground for innovation. Never seen such an open culture before. Plus, the health insurance benefits, the travel and fitness allowances and paid lunch options are better than what even bigger companies offer

Cons

They are still trying to find the product-market fit. I think they found it this time and the next thing left is execution.

This experience highlighted that strong individuall performance does not always translate into effective management, offerirng insight into the importance of leadership capability in guiding teams.

Cons

- The management approach often felt ineffective, which at times contributed to a difficult working experience for employees - There were concerns that accountability was not always consistently taken at the managerial level, with issues sometimes being redirected rather than addressed directly - Communication and interpersonal interactions sometimes felt unprofessional or lacking in respect, which negatively affected morale and day to day confidence - The overall experience sometimes felt unpredictable, with varying levels of support and consistency in expectations - The experience could be challenging for employees in terms of workload pressure, recognition, and clarity of direction, leading some to feel uncertain about long term stability and growth
