Pros

I am really happy that I have worked with so many amazing people at Giant Swarm. The projects are quite interesting, with topics around Kubernetes and platform engineering. Internal SIGs (Special Interest Groups) bring together folks from different teams to talk about different topics, so you really have a nice chance to meet and talk to lots of folks from both your and other teams, to learn from others, to share your ideas and get feedback. Work-life balance can be a joy, especially with a 4-day work week (hopefully that's still a thing), it's all up to you and how you organize yourself. (Besides on-call duty) nobody will expect nor ask you to work late night hours, nor super early in the morning. In teams with people spread across different continents, folks mostly meet at times that work for everyone.

Cons

After the covid, lots of (large) companies are tightening the belt, so cutting costs and spending their money a lot more conservatively, so financial situation became challenging.
