As some previous reviewers have said, favoritism and nepotism are rampant here. People in certain positions treat this as a family business, whose sole focus is on promoting and growing their favorites whether they deserve it or not. This only drags everyone else's morale down. Individual contributors who lack the skill and expertise of managing people are put in leadership positions based on favoritism and not on merit. They are not given any training or coaching and asked to lead teams of talented individuals. No wonder turnover has been so high over the last few months. Micro-management is extremely prevalent and SLT could care a dime that some people are living exactly in the opposite end of the core values that are 'written all over the walls'. The CEO believes in making all sorts of promises to Home Depot without thinking how it would impact the people who actually have to work to fulfill the promises, while he vacations all over the place.
