Pros

The PTO is the best thing if you can even get this job anymore. They stopped hiring Americans so they could hire people in the Philippines. just ask (literally all) of my amazing coworkers that got fired and no longer work there either because the company wanted to cut costs and hire people from the Philippines. This is not me being hateful, this is me telling the truth of exactly what’s going on. If you are an American, don’t waste your time applying for a customer rep job at global payments. Maybe you have a chance at other positions but this is the only one I know about for a fact.

Cons

Everything from the insulting pay, micro management to the company changing their policies constantly that makes employees jobs harder and overall worse.

Pros

Hands-On Experience with Modern Infrastructure Friendly and Supportive Culture Great Resume Builder Work-Life Balance If you value a supportive team culture, a manageable workload, and building high-scale professional project experience, a Global Payments internship is a fantastic stepping stone, especially for launching a career in FinTech or platform engineering.

Cons

Uncertainty Around Full-Time Pipeline Varying Tech Stacks by Team: Because the company encompasses many different product lines and acquired systems, your experience can vary wildly depending on the specific team you land on. Some teams work on cutting-edge, next-gen cloud platforms, while others are tasked with maintaining or upgrading older legacy architectures.
