Pros

Nothing Pros to say such company.

Cons

I walked away from my application for a Senior DevOps/SRE role at Global Relay after discovering their bizarre policy: no AI tools allowed, not even for grammar correction. Let that sink in. A company hiring for a role that's literally about automation and modern infrastructure is policing how candidates write their application answers. It's 2026 — using AI to polish English is no different than using a spell-checker. This policy tells you everything you need to know about the company: Leadership is disconnected from how modern engineers actually work The culture prioritizes control over trust They're likely resistant to the very tools their DevOps team would need to succeed Add this to the low compensation (well below Vancouver market rates), the Glassdoor warnings about toxic culture, and the high turnover, and it's clear: this is not a company that respects its technical staff. Save your time. If they can't embrace basic AI literacy at the hiring stage, imagine what it's like to work there.

Pros

Free lunch and great location near Bryant Park

Cons

You can’t make a deal with a bad person, the CEO is not a decent person. Very poor leadership and unhappy clients under house arrest b/c of the data. It’s tough to leave GR. Oh, forgot, zero equity.
