Pros
Little to no micromanagement, the perks and benefits were solid (they paid for the last credits I needed for my degree), unlimited PTO, pre-COVID the travel opportunities and office food were fantastic, the Employee Resource Groups are active and supportive, met some genuinely cool people.
Cons
I was given a substantial raise on April 1st, only because I was below the pay band for 6 months. Then, they laid me off two days later. Jokes on me, I guess. Every 9box review was a battle to get fair compensation or promotion. Less than 5 minutes after letting go of +180 people, they sent out an email saying they're also removing things like Slack and Zoom to save money, but the stock prices have never been higher? Suspicious. Employee appreciation? Gone. The holiday bonus email that turned out to be a phishing test? Disgusting and demoralizing. The culture has radically changed in just five years, and not for the better. They’re going way too hard into the AI trend, repackaging existing features as AI. It’s going to blow up in their face when they can’t keep up with real trends. Obsessed with buying smaller companies like Over (AKA GoDaddy Studio) only to run them into the ground because they had no clue what to do with it.
