Pros

When you leave to go home!

Cons

i can write an entire thesis on the employee lawsuits and resident lawsuits Pedro Gomes the CEO is facing. He is despicable human being who praises on the weak. Not to mention all of his developments is backed by drug money. We all are awaiting on the day the Feds raid his office or the real estate commission smh In addition, between June 2024 til June 2025 over 25 employees have left the company! The only remaining employees are the ones he has trapped in a lease and paying them bare minimum because they are not citizens. Not one employee there has the credentials to show or quote units. NO ONE IS LICENSE IN REAL ESTATE OR HAVE A BROKER LICENSE! - No Health insurance -No 401k -No overtime -No commission for management - No incentives (free parking, lunch, etc) -Not even an office for the Coo let alone management. -No corporate cards or Net accounts -No site maintenance staff -No emergency procedures

Pros

This is the type of work environment I’ve dreamed of throughout my career. Every day brings new challenges, valuable lessons, and opportunities to learn and grow as a team. Although I’ve only been here for three months, I already feel deeply connected to my coworkers, the residents, and the community, as if I’ve been part of it for much longer. The opportunities for growth truly feel limitless. Each challenge is met with determination, compassion, and a genuine sense of humor. This team doesn’t just feel like a group of colleagues, it feels like family (and not the dysfunctional kind). This workplace stands out because of the little things that matter most: birthdays and anniversaries are remembered and celebrated, contributions are acknowledged and rewarded, and asking for help or more time when needed is not only accepted but encouraged. I feel seen, understood, accepted, and appreciated. I value my coworkers, for who they are as people, as well as all they do for the company. I genuinely believe each member of our team wants to make a positive impact on our community, and it feels like a blessing to work with them to do so.

Cons

While I personally enjoy this degree of fast paced environment, I can imagine that it might be overwhelming for some people. There isn't hand-holding. Each of us is expected to rise up to the occasion and be willing to learn and grow on a daily basis.

Pros

Gomes Group is a great company for those who want to grow. Being a small organization, it offers real opportunities to those who show dedication and results. I’ve personally had the chance to prove myself and be recognized. The company is also highly organized for its size, and leadership gives flexibility when you need time off — you’re often allowed to make up your hours instead of immediately using PTO. Benefits like health, dental, and vision after 90 days are a plus.

Cons

The biggest issue I’ve seen is with the hiring process. Too often, candidates come in with impressive titles but lack basic skills — things as simple as formatting in Excel or using Google Sheets. It becomes frustrating when those of us already here are left to train people who are supposed to be more experienced. This creates inefficiencies and delays, especially when deadlines are pushed last minute due to poor preparation. There’s also a tendency for new hires to try and change systems before fully learning what already exists, which wastes time and adds confusion. I think more structure around hiring and clearer expectations during onboarding would help tremendously.
