Cons

The human resource team is constantly asking what they can do to make people happy or what they like about working at GC. Then after hearing them, they do the direct opposite or take away the things they enjoy most. They are also pressing for positive Glassdoor reviews during a time when their actions are especially negative. Employees are not trusted to own the work, they are broken into doing what they are told and then punished when it does not work even if they disagreed with doing it in the first place. Every detail of what you do is to be watched by a supervisor as though they don’t believe employees are working during the day at all, despite the tiny team. Currently it is holiday and flu season and they have taken away a favorite benefit and many employees are furious, there is no longer flexible work from home or paid time off. People are afraid to take time off when they are sick. Management is even asking that employees work overtime, on top of giving up flexibility, bringing many already low salaries to painfully low when working extra time. The potential for this company is great, if only management weren’t controlling and untrusting.

Hi, Thank you for sharing your frustrations as we are experimenting with new ways to understand our employees’ experiences. I’ve read your review carefully and want to address the issues you mentioned. The benefits have not disappeared but as we’ve mentioned, we have a lot to accomplish with only two month’s left of the quarter. The DnD days that you’ve mentioned are only temporary to make sure we are all working together and fairly as a team. No one works harder than the others. We do trust our employees and more than not, allow employees to take time off and work from home when they need to. Your message has been shared with the management team for further discussion. We’re striving to create a fulfilling work experience, and your feedback is crucial to that mission. It's the reason why I ask for it-good or bad. Please continue to share your experience as we work to make you and everyone here happy to be a part of this team. Good&Co HR
