Pros
- Fully remote. - My direct manager was cool. - PTO is respected. Never had a request denied. - Often easy to coast and do nothing while you job hunt
Cons
There's a lot of reasons to leave, but it's easier to say "there aren't a ton of reasons to stay." - Pay is low, bonuses are low, raises are low. Seen many folks getting a massive raise by leaving. - Layoffs left and right. In the last year, so many people have gotten laid off, and a ton of employees are leaving for better opportunities. Huge amounts of knowledge lost. - At the same time, C level execs talking to US employees about all the jobs moving to India and Costa Rica like it's a great thing for everyone. - Keep acquiring other govtech companies. When this happens, they make zero effort to integrate these into the teams or explain company strategy. Customer satisfaction on these products usually goes down. - Zero company culture. Easy to feel entirely disconnected from the company and your teammates, and lose motivation. - Many people are being stretched between a few different roles
