Cons

Groupon was once great, but now it’s a nightmare. I was hired with a large group, and someone was fired daily. Miss one metric, and you’re at risk. Fail to close two deals a week, and you’re put on an impossible PIP. Their business model relies on firing reps to survive. I closed tons of deals, but now Groupon is taking all the commissions—just like they do with the hundreds of other reps they’ve fired. They steal accounts to avoid paying commissions. It’s disgusting, ruining workers’ lives and scamming businesses. -100/10. Groupon should be sued. Go back to Europe, nobody wants you here.

Learned a great deal here. My first big guy job and the responsibilities kept me focused and motivated. I grew a lot as a person at Groupon as well

Gaining experience targeting multiple industries

Cons

Management doesn’t care about you. Unrealistic goals. Everyone at 30-40% of quota. Complicated quota attainment system. Your job is to ask for 70% of margins for small businesses that have only 10-15% margin budgets
