Pros
- Challenging: (This is from an engineering perspective, so I can't fully speak to other teams). There's always new things to learn. There is definitely a growth mindset where people are trying to improve themselves and help others around them improve. - Transparency: To me, this is very important in a startup and leadership is very clear and open about this. Whether it's about finances or direction, they don't hide anything from you - Fun: One of the company's core values is about not taking yourself too seriously. I think the importance of this might get overlooked. People aren't afraid to be themselves, ask stupid questions (if you're an engineer you may know how important this is), and give their honest opinions. It leads to a much more comfortable work environment where you don't feel stressed all the time and aren't judged negatively by your co-workers.
Cons
- Benefits: They aren't bad, but just not on par with what you'd find elsewhere. No 401k matching. - There's definitely room to grow in your career path, but right now things are a bit unclear with what that looks like in engineering.
