Pros

- The office location is quite good - Management is really good at making up slogans so they look productive

Cons

- Management has an investor driven approach and will fire you if it looks good on the company's quarterly reports no matter the damage it might do to your life or of your colleagues - Finger pointing is the office culture due to toxic management and management will scapegoat their problems to former workers instead of addressing issues - Has yearly retention rate of 20%/year because of the items mentioned above - Management allegedly forgets your name and face 1 month after firing you the middle of a pandemic

Dear former work colleague, thank you for your review on your employment at HAPPYCAR. Especially, as a company in the tourism sector during this pandemic, we are proud that we weren't forced to downsize our staff. Even in these critical times our main goal was to overcome it all together. We are sorry to read that you had an other point of view. We would highly appreciate it if you could contact us, so we can openly discuss your mentioned topics. All the best to you!

Pros

Supportive boss and friendly colleagues

Cons

The pay was low, basically 3EUR an hour (pretty sure this is illegal and they hire international students to get away with it) The other cons are out of HappyCar's control

Pros

International environment and young teams

Cons

The management openly lies, recruiting interns for online marketing and product management positions. The job descriptions appear in the terms of contract but are not respected. Instead the company is literally a Call-Centre. Do not expect any other task than sitting in a room with cabins answering E-mails and insulting customers’ calls all day long. Even after complaining several times, the management still refused to give task related to marketing and product management, violating the contract terms. International interns are often exploited. In this Call-Centre, often single interns are responsible to answer, alone, calls from customers of a whole country. A learning by doing is promoted, consequently interns receive no training. However they are 100 % liable for their mistakes. On one side there is high pressure to perform (interns are regularly controlled), on the other side mistakes are not accepted. The company decks itself with being a Start-Up with flat hierarchy and flexible environment. Instead there are very strict rules and no sign of flexibility, regarding both tasks and working hours (not even for few minutes). No learning possibilities, no career opportunities.
