Poor experiences. Clicky organization, lots of Pollyanna. Coddled physicians. Palpable undercurrent. - Anonymous employee HCA Florida Trinity Hospital Employee Review

Pros

Pretty facility. Nice veteran tribute in lobby but beverage service is incorrect. Good online education. Line staff are nice people, friendly Nice gift shop.

Cons

Line staff are let go to balance the budget. Bloody Friday's. HR not helpful to employees. Volunteers on check in desk at main entrance are too aggressive. Food service needs help, food sub par. Parking needs to be looked at, not enough visitor parking close to building. Volunteers driving trams are dangerous, nearly run you down. No bioethics committee. Policies hard to find and not up to date. Union.

Pros

- Fairly flexible schedule - Strong teamwork among bedside nurses - Meaningful collaboration with most interdisciplinary team members and providers - Wide variety of patient populations and medical conditions, great learning environment for new grad nurses - Many opportunities for continuing education courses and free courses that count towards CEUs

Cons

- Compensation does not keep pace with cost of living in area nor does it adequately match the workload and responsibilities. Raises are not based on performance. - Patient to nurse ratio is 6:1, despite standards leaning more towards a 5:1 ratio, especially with higher acuity patients - Ongoing performance issues with certain staff members are not always effectively addressed. Concerns are discussed and acknowledged, but same issues continue. - Employee retention is not great - Equipment availability a challenge. Frequently spend precious time looking for equipment, causing delays in care and affecting time management.
