Pros

-Great culture of inclusion, volunteering, environmental awareness, etc. -Flexible schedule and WFH options -Some leadership are absolutely amazing -When I first started, I absolutely loved it

Cons

-Current CIO, Kris Rao, is without question the single worst C level executive I have ever worked with/for. He has no 'actual' direction, constantly tells blatant lies about the state of things, and will without question replace employees with outsourcing to "save money" even when it does not. -Current outsourcing (Hexaware) brought in by said CIO has made the IT work environment horrible for all employees of the business, both those in IT & those receiving IT services. -The workload only continues to increase while there is continued refusal to hire despite showing how bad things are. -Cost cutting and budget restriction has gotten to the point on nonsensical, again CIO related. -Multiple tenured & qualified employees are leaving citing the CIO as the reason to leave. -There is clear preferential treatment of Hexaware by the CIO (no RFPs, just giving them work despite RFP "requirements") which is quite indictive of financial ties/kickbacks to the company. -If there were a different CIO or none at all, it would be a great place to work. But until current CIO, Kris Rao, departs I would never advise anyone to work in IT at HNI.
