Layers of bureaucracy and slow to none career growth - Principal Software Engineer HP Inc. Employee Review

Although there are career plans, quarterly feedback conversations etc etc, the growth never happens unless you are with your foot on the door to leave and they don't have enough people to cover your work. I have spend more than 5 years conducting all the expected "career mapping", delivering results after results and never got anything solid as career movement. This is all across the sectors in the company, we never see people getting to higher positions, once in a lifetime some manager shows up and shake things up. I saw this only ONCE in five years. Once the old-school management is back, you are back to no expectation career path. Salary WAY lower than the market average.
