Pros

I’d like to share my interview experience at Halleyx. My journey started with a telephonic conversation, which was then followed by a technical task where I had to develop a complete Proof of Concept (POC) and submit it. After that, I attended an online technical interview, and finally, there was a last round that was more relaxed—it focused on understanding my mindset and way of thinking, where I could speak freely. Overall, that was my interview experience at Halleyx, and now I’m working here as a Software Developer. When I first joined, I was quite nervous—everything was new: a new city, a new office, and a new work culture. I wasn’t sure what to expect. But now, I feel much more comfortable. The team is very friendly, and one thing I really appreciate is that I can ask doubts without any hesitation, and they’re always willing to help and clarify. The most important and unique aspect here is that I can directly connect with the CEO and CTO to discuss and clear any doubts. That openness makes a huge difference. Overall, it has been a very positive and different cultural experience for me.

Pros

The interview process was different from what I expected in a good way. The open project round focused more on understanding a problem and breaking it into smaller parts rather than simply building a clone project. The discussions were practical and gave me a better idea of how real-world development works. Overall, it was a good learning experience.

Cons

I did not notice any major issues during my interaction with the company. Since I am just starting my internship, I do not have enough experience yet to comment on the internal work environment.

Pros

My journey with Halleyx started with the pre-placement talk. What honestly stood out was the vibe; it didn’t feel like a serious, scripted corporate PPT. There were memes in the slides, jokes about placement struggles, and it felt very real and relatable. That actually made me pay attention more than anything else. And that’s probably the first time I thought, “okay, this might be different.” The technical round was an open-book challenge, and we were given a week to complete it. I worked on building a full-stack application, and I think I completed around 80% of it. For me, as a fresher, that was the first time I was building something that big on my own, so it was challenging; but I made it to the interview. At that time, I had already been shortlisted for another company and was actually on my way to attend their interview. But on the same day, I also had my first round with Halleyx. I still remember sitting on the bus, on the way to that other interview, going back and forth in my head about what to do. And then, somewhere in the middle of that ride, I just made a call - I got down midway and decided to attend the Halleyx interview instead. It wasn’t a perfectly thought-out decision. It was more of a gut feeling. During the technical interview, they didn’t just check whether it worked; they asked very specific things like why I structured APIs that way, how I handled data flow, and what I would do differently if I had more time. The final round with the founders is something I’ll always remember. I expected to be nervous, but they made it feel like a normal conversation. They were warm, approachable, and genuinely interested in knowing me beyond just my resume. That kind of interaction really stayed with me. After getting selected, I went through a structured training program that helped me build a strong foundation. I started off working on a POC, and then slowly moved to live projects. That shift helped me understand how things actually work beyond just writing code. The team itself is quite young and energetic, so the vibe is very collaborative. It doesn’t feel rigid; there’s a lot of joking, quick feedback, and open conversations while still getting work done. Looking back, I joined as someone who was still figuring things out. I wouldn’t say I have everything sorted even now; but I’m definitely more confident as a Software Developer than I was when I started. And a lot of that comes from the kind of support I’ve had from the team and leadership.

Cons

I haven’t experienced any notable downsides so far.
