Pros
Flexible work options, provided training for an auto picker and forklift license. Not very competitive pay at the time, and a difficulty securing reliable workers meant that having half a brain about you would give you as a worker a lot more bargaining power with management.
Cons
Strange business structure that would constantly change franchise owners and pay out all your leave constantly meaning you never had any AL if you needed to go on leave. No accountability for franchise owners who move on to different stores. Makes it difficult to raise HR or other concerns against the business as they’ll just put a new franchisee in and continue operations as usual under a different management structure.
