Pros
Flexible hours worked well with my study schedule, and management was usually accommodating with rosters. Staff discounts were a nice perk, especially on electronics and home goods. Opportunity to build communication and customer service skills in a fast-paced retail setting.
Cons
Some weekend and holiday shifts were mandatory, which could be hard to manage at times. Like many retail jobs, the workload could vary a lot depending on the time of year (e.g., busy during sales events, quiet at other times). Not always a clear path to progression for part-time staff unless you actively pursue it.
