Toxic Environment - Talent Acquisition Haworth Employee Review

I was so excited to work at a company that advertises family values and diversity. What an absolute joke. The only thing Haworth cares about is their reputation and money. They will hire anyone just to get bodies on the plant floor, then immediately lay them off because they don't care about long term planning or the lives of those impacted. We were pushed to reach high numbers of new hires and rarely met them, because most people had already worked there, and hated it. We were given no tools to succeed, then torn down by management at any given moment. There were clear favorites, and exceptions would be made for them to advance. A coworker who was the heart of our team didn't get a raise or promotion in over 4 years, while others were given them for maybe 25% of the hard work. It was federally mandated we hire diverse people, but management just wanted to check boxes to look good on paper. They couldn't care less about their workers, as long as their "brand" was intact, they were fine. The toxicity of the work environment was enough to bring me and all of my coworkers to tears multiple times a week, fearing for our jobs, and tiptoeing on eggshells around management and other team members. I had a job as a teenager, and worked with other teenagers, and had never experienced such a petty and biased culture. I had an acquaintance that was interviewing for a position in HR and I talked them out of taking the next step immediately. If you want a job where you feel like a cog in a machine that is on the verge of blowing up every day, here you go. For anyone else, spare yourself.
