Pros
The frontline staff are dedicated and genuinely care about the communities they serve. You’ll work alongside smart, passionate people who believe in health equity and want to make a difference.
Cons
If I could give zero stars,,,,
Toxic leadership culture that hasn’t improved in years. Senior leadership, including the CEO, creates an environment of gaslighting where priorities shift constantly without explanation, feedback is ignored or weaponized, and accountability flows down but never up.
There’s no clear strategic direction. Projects launch with fanfare, then quietly disappear. Resources get wasted chasing the latest idea while core operations suffer. I still couldn’t explain what leadership believes the organization actually does or where it’s headed.
The gap between the mission and how leadership operates is staggering. Burnout is treated as a personal failing rather than a systemic problem. Good people leave regularly, and the pattern never changes.
