Where to start....You have to realize this job is independent, meaning you will have to do everything in your power for yourself. They don't really tell you but you will be spending money before making money. If you don't have a lot of friends or groups online then it will be difficult like myself to make money. It is political at the same time nothing is done for you. Some weeks spending over 40 hours and some weeks spending 20 hours, still getting the same results. Their leads are not good. I have spent a little over 1k and result is 150 dollars. There recommendations on phone calling is 100 calls a day if not you will be told you will fail. I have gotten my kids out of soccer, saved here and there, put some money into this company and the result is that I might not have money for my kids presents for Christmas. I/ have been in sales for around four years and never had a job like this. . Again I emphasis which they don;t state that you will be spending money. Example Errors and Omissions. Also buying states and other stuff that is a must. Thought this would be fun but ended up putting me more in debt and just hoping that there is something at the end of this rainbow since I have invested and wanted to stay a bit longer. They will have meetings every week, congratulating people that made money while if you have not, makes you feel discouraged. They tell ya to do this but if you observe around the room no ones doing the calls but you. Kind of feels like a pyramid. Where your on bottom and no ones there to help but yourself. Staffing at HST isn't that great. They are there to get your contracts and seminars. That is about it. Any complaints don't bother. I am not degrading this company I am just stating the facts and want people to realize before joining this company that these are obstacles that you might have to face and overcome. Hope this helps.

I am a brand new agent that made the mistake of signing a contract to "get started" with HST. No human contact, no onboarding, no payment for many of my sales (yes I am contracted with the carriers). The agency receives the commision and holds it. Marketplace sales are held for 90 days. HST has been paid but not me. When they do pay the entry level agent it is only 13%. They say 17% but they keep 4%. They received much more than that from the carrier. They offer ZERO support. They aren't servicing the CRM tool, no email address for new agents. Just log your sales in the system. Leads disapeer after you pay for them. There isn't anyone to call. When I submit a ticket or email I either do not get a response or they take 10 business days to respond stating to contact your lead. The contract has a clause that if you sue them for breach of contract you have to pay for their attorney fees. I'm locked into the one way contract and apparently I work for free.
