Pros

40% off rentals Tuition Reimbursement Pay/bonuses Discounts on some electronics Hours Everyone gets paid weekly except manager level and up. Manager level and up get a car, gas and insurance Also if you refer a an employee and they're hired you receive $1000 bonus MTs start out with 12/hr and that was more than my previous job so no complaints there. You get overtime as well as PTO. Hertz off airport locations are closed on all major holidays but you still get paid for that day. Depending on which location you're placed you may have to work Saturdays but that's only a half day like 9-12 or 9-1.

Cons

I've been an MT for about 5 months so I'm still new but I love this job. It becomes stressful when you don't have enough cars for reservations and you can't just pull a car out of your butt. I think more staff is needed to run each branch successfully. I personally feel there should never be less than two people not including the manager in the store at a time. Another con I've noticed is people think they've reserved a specific model of car and they come in expecting that and it's not what you give them. We don't guarantee make or model. --It goes by car sizes. Also the manager doesn't make that much. I basically make the same as the manager except they're salary.

Pros

It is possible to make a difference if you are determined enough. Many engineers work hard and most try.

Cons

The company has a ton of tech debt that it recognized, but is not being addressed. Management controls the time, scope and so quality is falling. The people they have hired lack fundamentals understanding of software development practices. The company often will make decisions to save small amounts of money with their facilities and tools they give to employees without understanding the opportunity cost that was lost. Overtime is required. You can't work here if you want to have a family or keep your family from hating you. Title inflation is real. Many people are actually performing one level down from their stated title and those that are not are only not failing due to putting in crazy hours. Middle management wont stickup for their people to ensure they are not burning out. They see it happening multiple times in front of them and they do nothing.
