Pros

Opportunity for overtime pay and a chance to drive a wide variety of cars, but beyond that, I failed to find any real benefits to working for Hertz.

Cons

Absolutely NO work/life balance. They expect you to show up at the office at 7:30am at the very latest and stay at least an hour after your shift is scheduled to end each night. The pay was horrible. The job description I was given before I accepted the position was very different from the actuality. Washing cars and picking people up in wintery conditions that close the whole city down does not seem realistic. I made it two weeks before I quit. Two weeks was more than enough. My manager also promised me two days of training on the system. I was given twenty minutes and chided for not getting people to buy the useless extra insurance and making errors on the contracts.

Pros

Great place to work in tandem with other professionals in your trade, always had a feeling of "family" working alongside my peers. We come together when times are tough, this is very rewarding,

Cons

The current economic and geopolitical spectrum have been proving a challenge to this industry as a whole, thankfully we are a resilient outfit with the best people at the helm.

Pros

It is a decent place to work with a steady environment and meaningful day-to-day responsibilities. Overall, it's not a bad company to be a part of if you are looking for stability and purpose in your tasks.

Cons

The internal culture is highly political, and professional advancement often depends more on favoritism than merit. You frequently have to play corporate games and kiss up to management just to get ahead or be noticed.
