Pros
-Meal offered each shift/snacks in break room -Security cameras -Company shirts, jackets provided -$25-$100 bonuses for picking up shifts -Reasonable resident load (6-8 residents per CNA in the memory care unit) -Lot of activities for the residents, which helps keep them busy, active, and happy
Cons
-Lack of a team environment, every man for himself kind of environment -Limited supplies -Maintenance is behind on many repairs, which means increased safety hazards and fall risks -Housekeeping is extremely minimal, CNAs are responsible for most of it -Graveyard shift is usually left without food and supplies -Unprofessional coworkers (couldn’t trust anyone’s word, had to stay late daily to wait on my relief, talked down to and belittled, there is a lot of drama, issues with people disappearing and sleeping on shift, etc.) -Highgate really needs more team bonding days to help strengthen the relationship between their employees
