Managers speak to employees disrespectfully. Corp knows it and does nothing effective about it. "Irreplaceable people" abuse their position.
Do not take a job in the KITTING department, the mangers during the day shift are unprofessional and create a stressful environment They behave to intimidate,; yell, glare, and reprimand employees publicly. If you want to transfer to another department because of the hostile environment, it probably won't happen. You'll be stuck. Pickers, storers, unloaders, audit, putaway positions are better choices.
LOTS of melodrama.
You can "point out" pretty fast and will be terminated. If you are going to be late, miss work or aren't flexible, do not bother.
Mandatory overtime is for real. When it's busy, you must work Saturdays, ten hour days. Schedules change frequently and quickly. Hard to plan your personal/family time. You are at their beck and call.
If you don't know how to drive a fork truck, you better be able to learn quickly. Just taking a class somewhere isn't always enough. You need drive time.
If you have ideas, management is not open to hearing them. Take your orders and do not question. This is a family run business, expect the nepotism and preferential treatment that goes with it.
Unless you are in the "clique", you will be used and abused.
Their only client is John Deere, they have been with them awhile, but there is always a chance they might lose that client.
Definitely not an environment that demonstrates their core values.
