Pros

I thoroughly enjoyed my time as an intern and part time employee at Hollywood branded. The work I was doing was fun, the people I worked with were fun, and I felt that I was learning valuable skills that I wasn't getting in school/classes at the time. I credit them 100% with helping me to get my first full-time job after graduating as they not only continued to employ me until I landed a full-time job, but they supported my journey and were always helpful with anything I needed.

Cons

None, I miss my time at HB constantly!

Pros

The industry is cool and you get the opportunity to travel occasionally or work with cool productions. You learn a lot about pop-culture and if you're into the world of entertainment you can get some really cool exposure. I loved my coworkers and will be lifelong friends with them.

Cons

The company has three leaders the CEO, the CEO's husband and the CEO's best friend who serves as the only HR arm. Every day starts with a 8:30 role-call meeting and every day ends with an end of day 15 minute call where employees share their "wins for the day". The environment feels constantly micro-managed and there are very few systems in place to keep employees, organized, accountable and on track. Lots of gas lighting and fear mongering amongst lower management and major turnover, few employees stay over a year and the hours are not flexible.

Unhappy HB Hater Lesson 101: Please don't become so bitter that you get to the point this previous team member did. It's well past time to leave if you hate ANY company, individual or CEO this much. It's not good for you, your co-workers, or the company. It sure isn't good for the mindset and spirit of the CEO who has given her all for 15 years to create an agency where employees can follow our mantra of learn, do, teach - and grow. Takeaway: Don't wait to be asked to step up or out. Move on to a new adventure. Or just like this person - you will be really bitter and vengeful by the time you are asked to do so. Future HB team members - know that we do ask that team partners help support efforts to ensure HB grows. We don't ask for 5* reviews, but we do endeavor to earn them. That's one of the reasons why we have our profit-sharing structured so that when the agency profits, the team grows and profits too. But there has to be profit to make that happen, and team members who make work happen. It's mutually beneficial. No point in being just nasty and mean. Life is too short, and agency life hard already. - Stacy Jones, Founder + CEO
