Pros
The agency truly puts its best foot forward to help some of our most vulnerable community members. It is a place to build good connections with other agencies.
Cons
Interdepartmental and agency wide dysfunction. Disconnect between leadership and forward facing employees resulting in poor policy making. Nepotism runs rampant within leadership positions creating unfair work environments for those that may have issues or want to go for promotion opportunities. Too much is asked of middle mgmt as well as hourly employees with very little support creating work burnt out often compounded with compassion fatigue. Concerns go unaddressed when employees express them; safety issues, work environment issues, burn out issues, and job growth concerns.
