Pros

Benefits, WFM, equipment, WFM allowance, WIKI, Tools, Training. The Training team for Care is amazing, they are the ones that sold me, on the work that we do, they were the ones who made me feel like I could make a difference working for this company. The smaller teams made the connections so much more valuable.

Cons

My biggest con, I was working for Honor for a YEAR and six months, And they hired new people, and they were paid 19.00 out the door. I started at 17/hr, and ended at 18.50. After almost three years. The fact that they praise culture and inclusion, but still don't pay the same rate for doing the same job, OR for having more experience in the position. Is mind-blowing. Wage gap who? The only way to advance is to apply to another department other than Care, or be super close, and fit the niche box that they want from leads, and managers. favouritism is rampant. And people will often feel excluded. When they preach about being welcoming and having full transparency. If you aren't what they want, then you'll eventually find yourself on the out. The one good manager I had, LEFT care, to go to another department. Where she thrived. That should tell you a lot. With the expanding markets, the MAs, CMs, Market Pods, Etc. All become convoluted. And a lot of people get left behind. There is no appreciation for going beyond for the team, UNLESS; you are well-liked. Those that sit under the radar that doesn't have a clique, are usually overlooked, and underappreciated. You need the popular vote to be recognized. I was switched to 5 different managers in my time at Honor. One manager had absolutely no idea what she was doing and that was the start of the downfall. Only one manager did right by me and made me feel like I belonged, and inspired me to love my job. and to work harder, and take on longer hours, to help the team. If you don't love your job. You will hate working at Honor.

Thank you for your feedback. We are proud of our mission to change the way we care for our parents and are glad to hear you felt supported to make a difference at Honor through the support of the Care Training you received. We want to provide a rewarding work experience for our employees where they feel valued and included. To that end, we’ve been making changes to improve internal communication and transparency. This has become especially important as we have shifted to a distributed work model. Some of the things we do to promote transparency include monthly All Hands meetings to keep the entire company connected and informed. We’ve also been training managers on designing more thoughtful meetings and communications. And we have a robust Open Door policy and welcome feedback from all of our employees, both directly and anonymously. We believe a high degree of transparency can enhance the overall company culture, so it’s something we’re committed to. We wish you all the best in your career.
