Cons

I worked for Honor for a few years, and I thought it was okay in the beginning. But then as time passed, I started noticing little things. I thought I was always a good employee, but I was constantly getting the short end of the stick. Because I checked off a bunch of skills that I had experience with earlier on, I was given shifts that Nobody else wanted, and the pay was always inadequate to what I had to offer. I did a lot of back breaking work and worked really hard for the most difficult clients. At the same time, I got passed over for better shifts I applied to in the company app, which I found out went to ("privileged and entitled") carepros. (If you're a Minority, they seem to limit your choices and expect you to just accept whatever leftover shift they can't staff.) I once had a client with a long care plan, and I did my best cooking, cleaning, and caring for them while the other ("privileged and entitled") carepros would watch t.v. and feed them junk food. One time Honor removed me from my other clients so I would be forced to work extra hours for another client who contracted a bad case of Covid. Needless to say, instead of being exposed to the virus only a little bit, I ended up getting a huge viral infection from that experience. I could go on and on, but there were just too many upsetting things I had to deal with!

Pros

They're flexible with schedules, and you get a lot of autonomy.

Cons

There's not really a definitive chain of command you report to, which makes some things complicated.
