Pros

Worked at Hopper for 2+ years and was laid off during the pandemic. Overall I had a great experience at the company. Ijoined the Hotels team during its rudimentary phase. Had the chance to grow and learn as I wanted to, especially on Hotels since it wasn't as established as Air. I eventually joined the product team, which was an incredible opportunity. Definitely felt like a busy start-up, where everyone wears all hats and must constantly be proactive, which was tiring. Benefits were great. Awesome mentorship and collaboration, but depending on what team you belonged to.

Cons

Some poor communication from top down regarding expectations, especially for Hotels.

Pros

pay, remote, some good/smart people in pockets

Cons

Senior leaders could not care less about employees and routinely make bad market decisions leading to foreseeable product issues and eventual layoff cycles. There was a time a few years back where employees criticized the dark patterns in the app - the president got pissed and said 'the data didn't show it was an issue', then a few months later when we got bad press about those patterns dismissed it as our competitors planting stories - sums up the culture pretty clearly.
