These are mainly for the IT side: I have seen absurd promotions. Bureaucracy is definitely there. Getting what you need can be very difficult, quite a cumbersome process. No proper investment for infrastructure. Not good hardware / working station. Monitors are terrible. No standing desk. No proper chair unless you go through occupational therapy and prove your case. Some of the IT teams are at low level in terms of technical skills. IT management does not have a vision for doing cutting edge or even adapting latest technologies. To give an example they still use previous version of windows and generally look for the end of extended support for platform upgrades, like when you really have to do it. To be fair; some of these are I think due to not having enough funds, company has not been profitable until recent years.
