Pros
- great as an entry-level position and get yourself acquainted with the industry - work hour flexibility, is great for moms who have additional responsibilities like picking up kids from school, etc
Cons
- job itself is repetitive and makes your brain into sludge - dead-end job, no growth, department politics also do not want you to progress and grow your career. (Lateral movements vs moving up) Lack of communication from all departments - if you are content with a little and lack self-confidence and have little self-worth, you will love it. -I've seen many people with so much potential and (frankly overqualified) happily wither away here and management does not do anything to appreciate them on top of that, keeps them underpaid -Incompetent employees are not let go due to staff constraints, adding to the work. It's a constant loop of training new hires and wasting time - Eternal backlog from this department which ensures all clinical trials are set up late + tight deadlines that are impossible to meet. Clients will never get their projects finished on time as promised, ever! -Serious micro-managing techniques ***No respect for family - family member gets COVID, and the manager asks if current tasks can be finished before taking leave without any display of humanity.
