As a fresher , iMaCs is a good place to hone your skills and ultimately graduate to a professional environment .
Cons
Shortchanging employees in the salary structure :
1. Only 70 odd percent ever makes it to the bank
2. Leave Encashment of a months basic is a part of CTC
3. Compulsory 2500 rupees per month for a 3Lac Medical Policy ( Regardless of what age bracket the employee falls in , so that old timers get a better deal )
4. Non Existent Bonuses even as the whole offer letter is glorified with bonuses of 0-50%
5. A Credit Card Component of close to 12000 is a part of CTC ( Can only be used to pay membership fees and nothing else)
No Human Resources in Place: You may find yourself seething in agony trying to get hold of a company secretary who will in all likelihood evade your calls.
Increments: Increments may be in the form of semi annual deferred payments that an employee forgoes if papers are put down before the date of receipt.
Frustration with Infrastructure: Will cut corners wherever possible
- No appraisals at all. After working for one year you will get a hike of 5% on your basic salary which is like INR 700-1000(per month) .
- The Project Managemer does not trusts the team under them at all.
- No defined policies. Different for people at different levels.
- According to the management, the only way to motivate an employee is by scolding them. So they will organize a 3 day event (called the annual meet by them) and make each and every employee realize that he/she is good for nothing
- No facilities provided to the employee at all
- Unclear salary structure. Almost 25% of the CTC wil never be received by the employee at all
- Extremely poor infrastructure facility. The laptops/PCs provided are outdated.
- No data base are available to the employee (which is highly important for any research based company)
