Pros
I have nothing but good things to say about the company overall. Management and staff are outstanding. I enjoyed working with my team and I never felt left in the weeds to figure out stuff. If I needed help with working through a design solution or pricing a non-standard option, it was an open door policy with everybody all the way to the top. I knew nothing about the remodeling industry when I started here and went away with a solid foundation of knowledge that will help me for years to come. Sales leads are provided via the company and loosely vetted before being assigned to a sales person. No cold calling or prospecting required. Flexibility to work from home and/or the company is also a great plus due to the nature of the position.
Cons
Given the the seasonality of the remodeling industry, your best opportunities to make a good income are the Spring and early Fall. You will want to capitalize on the leads you get during those peak periods in order to compensate for the slow times. Some months can be low to no income providers if the leads you do get turn out to be duds. Other cons would be that the starting vacation policy is below minimum standards, but that is offset by the commission nature of the sales position. You have flexibility to set your appointment availability and that can lead to more life/work balance which can provide more overall free time in some respects.
