Pros

Supportive colleagues and generally friendly team culture among staff, with a few managers who genuinely try to help. Some small staff discounts and benefits, the canteen food is decent at times, and the brand name can perhaps look good on a CV

Cons

Communication from management is often unclear and inconsistent, leading to confusion about shifts, workload, expectations, holidays etc. Staff can be asked to travel in and then sent home or encouraged to use holiday at short notice. Operational and planning problems are frequently pushed onto employees, which damages trust and motivation. The culture feels reactive rather than people-centred, and this is beginning to show in declining sales and weaker customer experience, because disengaged teams cannot deliver their best work. The time-clock system also seems applied in a way that benefits the company rather than staff, with disciplinary action taken for being only a few minutes late instead of focusing on overall performance and contribution
