Pros

Descent salary, good benefits, friendly people, creative and fun meetings (learning games, fun discussions, etc), great way to get your feet wet and learn how the business and your specialty department are run.

Cons

Management is a little iffy, not really too much room for advancement unless you want to be a dept manager, which isn't really seen as nothing more than a glorified sales person within the store. Don't get sick or have a disability either, doctors notes are not accepted there as an excuse for absence or illness. Overall Ikea is a good starting point, but do not plan on boosting your career or receiving more than a 2% raise every work year.

Pros

• Structured, delivery focused work • Data driven decision making • Independent ownership • Impact on team efficiency & customer xp

Cons

• Balancing customer facing expectations with project deadlines • Scope creep with cross team processes and reporting • Managers often leaned on me for more than my formal responsibilities, which led to overextension

Pros

I have a very empathetic and flexible manager. Although I do meet the requirement to be in office three days a week many others do not and don’t seem to suffer for it. My work can be challenging at times, but due to the slow pace of most things here I rarely feel overwhelmed.

Cons

This is, without equivocation, the most sclerotic organization I have ever been a part of. The management structure and reporting lines are inscrutable and even after 3 years I barely understand how my team fits into the larger picture. My job is a data role, and although getting access to data has improved somewhat, it is still one of my biggest blockers.
