Pros

Small, local company. When I was there, they had never laid off an employee. Research and development was under 15 staff members. They only had three departments: R&D, form fill and two people that did contracts. Everything else was outsourced (HR and finance). Very little overtime was required.

Cons

With that few people, the environment was very gossipy and backstabbing was common. Management blamed employees a lot, and to save their job people pointed fingers. The lab equipment was all old cast offs from Amgen, meaning it broke down often. At any given time about 50% of the lab equipment was down. Since the company is so small, there are absolutely NO promotions, and many employees have not received a raise or bonus in years. Yearly bonuses or cost of living increases are not a thing here. Pay is not competitive at all and you will make more (ie like 10K more) as a contractor at the local larger biotech firms.

When we last had 15 members, it was over 6 years ago and the company was a startup. As of this review, the company was over 70 people and bears little resemblance to this outdated review. For new applicants, please check us out.
