Pros

Small, local company. When I was there, they had never laid off an employee. Research and development was under 15 staff members. They only had three departments: R&D, form fill and two people that did contracts. Everything else was outsourced (HR and finance). Very little overtime was required.

Cons

With that few people, the environment was very gossipy and backstabbing was common. Management blamed employees a lot, and to save their job people pointed fingers. The lab equipment was all old cast offs from Amgen, meaning it broke down often. At any given time about 50% of the lab equipment was down. Since the company is so small, there are absolutely NO promotions, and many employees have not received a raise or bonus in years. Yearly bonuses or cost of living increases are not a thing here. Pay is not competitive at all and you will make more (ie like 10K more) as a contractor at the local larger biotech firms.

When we last had 15 members, it was over 6 years ago and the company was a startup. As of this review, the company was over 70 people and bears little resemblance to this outdated review. For new applicants, please check us out.

Pros

-Great company atmosphere, it is one big science family -Fast-paced, the experience is truly what you make it -Will test you, you will never be bored -Perfect job to gain experience, hands on with a large variety of assays; you will never be confined to just one like the majority of science positions in the area. -Flexible work schedule, not contract! -Regular company seminars to keep employees abreast of a dynamic industry -This lab is growing like crazy, always a good sign! -Amazing CEO, Byeong is the best mentor, and teacher one could ask for

Cons

(To be clear, Integrity Bio is currently fixing this!) -Payscale does not increase proportionally with employee skill, starting wages are competitive but do not scale well with experience

Pros

They expect you to stay at the company a year or less. Hire recent graduates with no experience or training- great to start your resume. Mid level QA, QC, mfg leaders are good people. Great for newbies to put that first job on their CV. Healthcare benefits package was good. 401(k) with matching.

Cons

Notoriously tight fisted pay except at executive level management. The smallest GMP training budget I’ve seen in my career (buy slide deck from online vendor, no outside conferences or participation in professional development orgs). Very political. Management was anti compliance w/r to competent staff (process and equipment validation). Senior leadership told us to “hire only young people” The current CEO Is expert at making things only look good on the surface. Former EVP Ops routinely bullied clients and employees, and was harassing and intimidating, esp w/r to women.
