Pros

The company culture is welcoming, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and mutual support. Colleagues are always willing to assist one another, creating a collaborative environment. Additionally, we often receive perks such as credit at our clients' establishments, which is a fantastic benefit for when we visit them during our personal time.

Cons

Event weekends in Miami, such as SOBEWFF, Art Basel, and Formula 1, are particularly busy. This is to be expected at any firm that manages hospitality and lifestyle clients.

Pros

• Fantastic stepping stone in a PR and social media career. • Ana is highly knowledgeable and provides invaluable insights in the PR field. • Opportunities to learn a lot, both as an intern and an employee. • Encouraged to ask thoughtful questions and engage deeply with clients. • Great environment to build deeper relationships beyond work tasks.

Cons

• It's essential to set clear boundaries to avoid burnout, as with any job. • Negotiating your pay is crucial. Be strong in your negotiations; Ana will accommodate if you assert yourself. • Fast-paced environment that may not suit everyone

Pros

Free food and snacks sometimes

Cons

From what I've observed, workers are treated poorly (underpaid and overworked aka expect to work on 6 clients or more for under $50k. In this economy???) As an intern, I was promised to work along with the CEO but she was never I the office, if she was, she was "busy" or would leave early for a hair/nail appointment or happy hour with "clients" I ended up working closely with the employees instead. I learned a lot from those girl and from what I learned, they had to learn from each other since there was no onboarding/training process. Internship consist of unpaid parking, expensive lunches due to the area, flooding due to the rain (office is in Downtown), a lot of B.S./repetitive work, or you actually doing the assignment for her.

At Identity Media, Inc., we strive to provide valuable learning opportunities through hands-on experience with both our team and with me, the CEO. While my schedule as CEO can be demanding, our interns are encouraged to learn from the entire team, fostering a collaborative and comprehensive educational experience. As for the comment about me leaving to do my nails or hair, it’s clear that you don’t know much about me. I don’t need to disclose to anyone on my team that I do my nails and hair at 6 AM before my baby wakes up—thanks for the chuckle. Occasionally, I attend happy hours to scout clients, especially since we work with restaurants and bars. I also check out their lunch and dinners and encourage our team to do the same and expense it to Identity Media, which is common in our industry. Regarding compensation and workload, we are transparent about our internship program, offering school credit and covering parking expenses. We understand the financial constraints and strive to support our interns within our means. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and hope you find a role that aligns with your goals.
