Pros
Great business model to do 3rd party contract R&D work for clients and sell ingredients. This allowed for experience in a wide variety of beverage categories and a very expansive network across the industry. Peer employees are very friendly and I built genuine friendships within the company. Summer hours on Fridays - you can leave by 2pm on Fridays if you work an additional hour on M-Th.
Cons
- Entry level = low salary, slow upward growth. It will take three years for a technician with a bachelor's degree to be promoted to a Technologist. - There seems to be a recent pattern of terminations with no warnings to the employee for common mistakes. I haven't heard of an instance where they offer a warning or probation period since 2019. The recently hired HR representative and the outsourced HR group provide minimal assistance (sometimes cause more havoc due to lack of attention to detail). And there is no severance pay. There is bare minimum care for an employee they once claimed as valuable once they are terminated.
