Cons
I think the core issue lies in management, and the consequences just trickle down. Even when a developer communicates their capacity during planning, the PM often adds more priorities, which can push you to around 50 story points per sprint. On top of that, mornings are packed with meetings, so finishing everything often requires overtime. Sending AFK messages around 8 PM is even praised. Developers end up doing most of the manual testing, which, while it can be beneficial in a fast-paced environment, makes it impossible to track everything. There are some genuinely nice colleagues, but the culture tends to celebrate only those who overwork, while subtly implying you’re not a cultural fit if you don’t. Bonus point: After three months you get the meeting invite to submit glassdoor review with this invitation: We’re meeting to leave an Insider review on Glassdoor! Hi, we’ve scheduled a meeting to leave a review for Insider on Glassdoor 🌺 Why is Glassdoor important? • It helps us attract amazing people like you to our team and achieve our goals faster. • As Insiders, we’re currently #1 on the G2 Leadership leaderboard 🚀, and our Glassdoor score also plays a key role in that. During this meeting, we’ll guide you on how to leave a review on Glassdoor 🙏 We expect everyone involved in this project to participate as part of your onboarding program! Also, in half a year I’ve managed to survive here, 6 people left my team (12 of us initially).
