Pros

•Decent benefits for a part-time job •Free six pack of cookies or pint of ice cream each week •Mostly contactless deliveries •Short/flexible hours •Small amount of PTO even as part-time •Has app to request days off well in advance •Drivers are allowed to bring electronics in °This is excellent if you are a student because bringing a laptop is perfectly acceptable.

Cons

*This is not reflective of Insomnia as a whole. This pertains to the Boise, ID location which upper management needs to review.* •Poor management •Extremely high turnover rate •Poor tips with large delivery radius •Unreliable apps that you must use with many bugs. The app you have to use to clock in does not always allow you to press the "punch" button. It takes closing the app in and out, clearing the cache, and/or resetting your password to get the "punch" button to appear. •Low trust: °For a solution to the clock in issues on app, there was a website we could use on the store computer that worked flawlessly. The manager at this particular location removed ability to clock in on the website after one day of it going live because she feared employees would abuse a website and clock each other in before they actually arrive. There are ~10 employees at this location so you think the trust would be far higher. •Ran like the military: °Delivery times must be within 20 minutes from the moment it is received to the moment it is delivered at the customer's doorstep but waste goals are strict so often orders have to wait on cookies to be baked that are not readily available which you the driver pays for with your delivery times. °Each driver has their average "Out The Door Time" listed in the system and you will be called out by corporate to the manager if your times are slightly over 20 minutes even with situations out of your control. •Limited amount of responsibilities as a driver (pro/con depending on who you are). •Very slow paced location. Often run out of task to do while waiting for orders to come in. •Team Spirit is poor at this location.

Pros

One of the few companies that are fully operational during the “night owl” hours. The cookies are absolutely delicious, and employees are encouraged to try them all and share the cookie bounty! Staff was incredibly friendly and diversified, and management was available and approachable. Stores are well organized, everything is labeled and within easy reach, making every shift run smoother

Cons

Employees should be given more training, especially drivers commuting from other parts of town. There are “guidelines” (aka rules) posted everywhere and it was a little excessive, which may be more indicative of the times we live in, though.
